CMFContentPanels被Demo.Plone.org收录!
Demo.Plone.org是收录了一批优秀的Plone产品,现在润普的开发的CMFContentPanels也能帮上有名,也是我们中国人的一个光荣。我们中国人也为Plone在贡献!
Demo.Plone.org
Portal Layout
另外转载我和Plone的社区主要负责人runyan的交流信,介绍了Plone和zope在中国的发展情况。
> done ;-)
ok, I will checkin CMFContentPanels soon.

I am also a member of plone-i18n team in charge of Simplified Chinese translation. We have done a lot to make Zope/Plone support Chinese better. And we have contributes such things to Zope.org:
- CJKSplitter: Make ZCTextIndex support Chinese. It is a great thing for Chinese Zopers.
- ZopeChinaPak: a cellection of small monkey patches for zope/cmf/plone and related products. It make STX and CMFWiki CMCollecotor support Chinese(but still not very well).
- PloneZopeChinaPolicy(ready to contribute): a new ZopeChinaPolicy for plone which will use CJKSplitter and ZCTextIndex for portal_catalog, and use Chinese encodings as default. Chinese people can choose the this policy when they add a new plone site.
With these stuff, It works nearly well. Plone is the main product we provide services to our clients. You can find 2 site which build with Plone here:
- http://zopechina.com our company site, it has different skin.
- http://czug.ods.org China Zope User Group
Zope/Plone is just gotten started in Chinese. No big companies use zope now. Zope is not a main stream technology in China. but I think it will be flourish soon. Zope/Plone is accepted by more and more Chinese developers and many greate things about zope happened:
- Chinese ZopeBook is published in China now. And it selles well. Most Chinese people want read Chinese. English is really a gap for the Chinese to reach the wonderful zope.
- Zope 2.6.1 support Chinese much better! It is a greate version for Chinese.
- We, ZopeChina, have contributed a set of Products to make Zope support Chinese better these days.
- CZUG.org, a Chinese Zope community started 1 month ago. it is a good place for Chinese people to communicate and contribute Chinese Zope/Plone Document. There are about 74 registered members now.
- The wonderful Plone, which can support Chinese. It will support Chinese well with our PloneZopeChinaPolicy and other patches soon. May be we can release a Chinese version of Plone with all patches if we have time. We Chinese need it.
Many companies uses opensource software for their software development. Many developers likes opensource software in China. But there are not much opensource software service providers in Chinese. So many end users always dout if we can provide strong service as what big software companies such as MS can do. But many small companies wants to have a try for it is free.
More opensource service providers is needed in China, I think. Our company is one of the true opensource company in China.
And, another a interesting thing I want to tell you. After we contributed CJKSplitter 0.1 to Zope.org one month ago, 2 another Chinese splitters(CJKSplitter0.2 and GB_Splitter) released to Zope.org by other Chinese companies.
Our company is just gotten started now. And if we can win in China, more company will choose opensource too. Then opensource will win in China. :)
